Dr. Tammy Smith is an accomplished public health professional and consultant with over a decade of experience spanning epidemiology, data analytics, program evaluation, and nonprofit leadership. As the Founder and Principal Consultant of ProTech Scientific Solutions, she leads a multidisciplinary consulting firm that helps organizations bridge technology, data, and community-driven strategy to achieve measurable public health outcomes.
Throughout her career, Dr. Smith has worked across the public and nonprofit sectors, advancing data equity, workforce development, and program effectiveness. Her experience includes roles within the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, where she supported outbreak investigations and data reporting systems, and leadership in nonprofit program management through Inspired Now Networks, Inc. She also contributes to workforce and professional development initiatives with organizations such as the Addiction Professionals of North Carolina and the National Association of Doctors of Public Health (NADrPH).
